What are we looking for?

Reviews: Have a fresh take on a new film, TV show, book, or music album with queer themes? We are looking for sharp, snappy reviews that will spark new conversations or offer perspectives that would amaze our readers. No more than 800-1000 words.

Interviews: Know a queer artist, director, writer, or actor doing brilliant things? Trace their journeys and explore their work and ideas through a Q&A or narrative-style interview.

These can run between 1000-1800 words.

Feature Essays: Spotted a trend that needs a thorough exploration? Want to make an argument about queerness in India drawing on pop culture? Pitch us a feature essay that weaves together insights from books, films, or other media to make a compelling argument. 2000-3000 words.

What ideas would excite us?

Stories with a fresh or unique argument. Pieces that make you wonder: “Why didn’t I think of this before?”

Ideas that advance existing conversations about queer life & spark new ones

Pieces that tell us: What does it mean to be queer in India today?
