The Polis Project is editing a limited reporting series on Zohran Mamdani’s first 100 days in office and looking for pitches for longer pieces ($500) and a few people who can do fast turnaround stories ($200-250, 36 hour turnaround).

The outlet usually covers South Asian/foreign news but they’re bringing local stories with the same progressive lens. They are most interested in pitches on: Rikers, the affordability crisis in Chinatowns and other communities of color, and anything else related to campaign promises, budgeting, etc.
